Terms of Use
Last updated November 2, 2026
These terms cover your use of this website and the general basis on which I book travel for you. By using the site, you agree to them.
Who I am
Cross & Compass Travel is an independent travel advisor business run by Amanda Stives. I book travel as an agent on your behalf. Cruise lines, hotels, resorts, tour operators, airlines and insurers (“suppliers”) provide the actual travel services. Some bookings go through my host agency, InteleTravel.
Bookings made through my host agency are sold by InteleTravel.com, which is registered as a seller of travel in Florida (ST-32452), Washington (602-735-106), California (209-1941-40), Iowa (1977) and Hawaii (TAR 6732). Registration as a seller of travel does not constitute approval by the State of California.
Information on this site
Destinations, sailings, prices and inclusions on this site are general information, not an offer or a quote. Suppliers change itineraries, prices and policies often, so I’ll confirm current details before you book. Photos are for illustration and may not show the exact ship, room or location you’ll get.
Bookings and payments
- Every booking is subject to the supplier’s own terms and conditions, including deposits, final payment dates, cancellation penalties and change fees. I’ll share those terms before you commit.
- You’re responsible for paying deposits and final payments by the due dates. Suppliers may cancel bookings that aren’t paid on time.
- Please check your confirmation and documents as soon as you get them, and tell me right away if anything is wrong, especially the spelling of names.
- If I charge a planning or service fee for your trip, I’ll tell you the amount before you book.
Your travel documents
You’re responsible for having a valid passport, any required visas, and meeting health, vaccination and entry requirements for every country on your itinerary. Many countries require a passport valid for six months beyond your return date. I’m happy to point you to official sources, but requirements are set by governments and can change.
Travel insurance
I strongly recommend travel insurance. It can cover cancellations, medical emergencies, missed connections and lost luggage. If you decline coverage, I may ask you to confirm that in writing.
Limits of my responsibility
I act only as an agent for the suppliers. I’m not responsible for their acts or omissions, or for delays, injuries, losses or changes caused by them, or by weather, illness, strikes, government action or other events outside my control. I’ll still help you work through problems when they come up. To the extent the law allows, my liability is limited to the fees you paid me directly, if any.
