Privacy Policy

Cross & Compass Travel is an independent travel advisor business run by Amanda Stives. This page explains what information I collect, how I use it and who I share it with. If you have questions, send me a note.

What I collect

• Contact form. Your name, email, phone number and anything you tell me about your trip: destinations, dates, number of travelers, budget and notes.
• Booking details. When you book, I’ll need more, such as legal names as they appear on passports, birthdates, passport details, loyalty numbers and special requests. You share these through my client forms or directly with me.
• Payment information. Payments go to the cruise line, tour operator or other supplier, or through my host agency’s booking system. I don’t store full card numbers on this website.
• Basic technical data. Like most websites, my hosting provider keeps standard server logs (IP address, browser type, pages requested) for security and to keep the site running.

How I use it

• To answer your questions and send trip options and quotes.
• To make, manage and change your bookings, and to send your travel documents.
• To contact you about your trip, including payment reminders and changes from suppliers.

I don’t sell your information, and I don’t add you to a marketing list unless you ask me to.

Who I share it with

Booking travel means sharing some of your details with the companies that provide it. I share only what each one needs:

• Travel suppliers such as cruise lines, hotels, resorts, tour operators, airlines and travel insurance providers.
• My host agency, InteleTravel, which processes bookings made through its system. If you use my InteleTravel booking site, InteleTravel’s own privacy policy applies there.
• Service providers that run this website: Netlify (hosting), Formspree (delivers contact form messages to my inbox), Google Fonts (loads the site’s fonts, which shares your IP address with Google) and Unsplash (serves the destination photos).
• Authorities when the law requires it, for example passenger information that cruise lines and airlines must report to government agencies.

Cookies and tracking

This website doesn’t set cookies and doesn’t use analytics or advertising trackers. If that changes, I’ll update this page.

How long I keep it

I keep your information for as long as I need it to plan and service your trip, and afterward only as long as needed for tax, accounting and legal records.

Your choices

You can ask me to show you the information I hold about you, correct it, or delete it, unless I’m required to keep it for a booking that’s still active or for legal records. Depending on where you live, state privacy laws may give you additional rights. To make a request, contact me.

Security

This site uses HTTPS encryption, and I limit access to your details to what’s needed to book your travel. No website or email system is perfectly secure, so please don’t send full card numbers through the contact form.

Children

This site isn’t meant for children under 13. I collect information about minors only from a parent or guardian, and only to book their travel.

Changes to this policy

If I update this policy, I’ll change the date at the top of the page.
